Gatsby

I am a strong believer that you can judge a book by its cover. Whether its simple, complicated, colorful, dark, small or big, one can always analyze and relate it to what is inside. What do you think? Can you acctually judge a book by its cover? What does this Gatsby cover say to you?

  1. To me, it looks like there is an innocent scene, but within or above lurks a very sad story that is about to unfold. Maybe it is going to happen to an innocent woman. It seems like this book is going to focus on night life, and there seems to be some kind of party atmosphere going on in the city. It has a lot of lights for the 1920s. And tall buildings. Come to think of it, the city looks more modern than I would expect for the early 1900s. I don't know what to make of that.
